Monteath & Powys were engaged by Zinfra Group to supply survey services for the upgrade of electrical transmission lines from Liddell to Tamworth. The work entailed set out of new structure locations and compliance checks of hold down bolt locations scattered along the 130km route. A number of these sites were in difficult-to-access but picturesque spots, which became a welcome opportunity for the Surveyors involved to take in the scenery. Spanning the Great Dividing Range, marks were placed using a number of survey methods for the 117 footings on 58 structures along the 3 trans-connector powerline systems.

Our Client noted that from Day 1, Monteath & Powys were very supportive in analysing design data and coming up with survey solutions. We were flexible not only with short turnaround times but also the needs of other contractors and were always able to provide service at very short notice. Zinfra would be more than happy to work with our team again.
